Make It Attractive You Say…

Ahh atomic habits, you did it again… but thank you

So I’ve been talking with my mom this morning over coffee (☕️=😋=❤️) and we were talking about some muscle weakness/shoulder pain I’ve been having lately. I tried a new medication 6 months ago and it was slowly wreaking havoc on my nerves. I’m off it now thank goodness, but I’m still dealing with the aftermath.

Lately, I’ve been a fan of letting my body heal while I binge Gilmore Girls for the 72637272 time. Not like I don’t know what happens. Then the 2 hours before bed, I like to watch movies I’ve never seen while I drink hot tea. …Thats a lot of tv!!! I used to workout for an hour EVERYDAY which was excessive BUT it can’t be too mad because it got me through some serious alcohol cravings!

The point of Chapter 8 is to “make it attractive” by habit stacking mixed with needs and wants. Say no more. I’d like and need to workout my arms more. Maybe not as long as I used to, but I definitely need to.

After I close me and Gilda up for bedtime at 7pm, I’ll workout for 10 minutes. (Need)

After I workout for 10 minutes, I’ll watch a movie I’ve never seen before. (Want)

BAM! 💥

Now I have a reward for something I deeeeeply need to do. Then I also can’t feel bad about doing what I want to do, BECAUSE I’ve stacked it with something that’s need to do.

Hacking life is fun for me.
